Stacey Williams is an Artist & Designer based in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny, nn nnHaving studied fine art,  design and art history at the Limerick School of Art & Design Stacey then specialised in ceramic design glassmaking and stained glass at Plymouth College of Art & Design, Devon, UK.nn nnFollowing third level Stacey then pursued the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland ‘Ceramic Design & Skills Course and graduated in 1997 . nn nnStacey launched her first collection of original paintings at The Kilkenny Arts Festival in August 2021 to great success nn nnTaking her inspiration from various sources, her style is continually evolving. Recent works reflect an eclectic mix of influences , amalgamating traditional subject matter, hyper realism and a Pop Art aesthetic.  There is also  a nod to early  American Folk Art as well as contemporary artists such as David Hockney and Georgia O’Keeffe.nn nnHer paintings are vibrant, energetic and often highly stylised  – resulting from her trainiing and interest in design and illustration . Subject matter ranges from lyrical Irish landscapes, still life studies and topographical studies of vernacular buildings nnShe has recently launched a range of limited edition prints.
