For me life and art are inextricably connected and feed and enrich each other. Artists greatest gift to life is that they notice its beauty even in the most mundane objects and events, and are able to make this beauty visible to others.

My art is about places we live in. Its main aim is to convey the ambiance of a location at a specific moment of time: the light, the weather, the colour. Light is Life itself. Light plays a key role in making the landscape attractive and in how it is perceived by the onlooker. The light determines the colour. Together they highlight the special aura of the place. I try to understand how the mood of a piece of art influences the mood of the spectator, how they interact with each other. I explore the ways to use colour so that it enhances the beauty of the subject and the spirit of the scene. My impressions of the landscape and the emotions it evokes are reflected in my work.

There are two main themes in my art now: Ireland and Andalusia. Their nature and heritage is some kind of dream and fairy-tale in real life.
