This series comprises of pinhole photographs of artists working in their studios.
The exposure times can vary between 30 minutes to several hours, depending on the available light. Whilst although the artists are present they may, or may not be visible in the final image, however the nature of the work they are engaged in is discernible. The objective is to explore the ambience or aura of an aspect of their unique studio environment as well as the nature of their practice.
The quality of scanned analogue negative film lends a painterly quality to the space, frequently reflecting the nature of the artist’s chosen media.
