Gold is very valuable object. But value is a human idea. We tend to value what is scarce in objects. We also value what is original in art. Some art is many times more valuable than its weight in gold. But that is not the point.

Art has a deeper value that has to do beauty and truth. This cannot be measured other than in the enrichment of one’s life.
