Rosemary Gaynor studied at Coventry College of Art and is known for her animal portraiture. She also finds great inspiration in the familiar everyday aspects of her rural surroundings in West Waterford and is greatly influenced by the play of light and shape on these which create their own interest through form and angle.

Her paintings are held in private collections in Ireland, UK, North America, Mexico and Africa.
